At Devver, we're building building cloud-based tools for Ruby developers - tools that tell you more about your code and make you more productive. We're looking for a top-notch Ruby programmer to help us build the next generation of developer tools.

Devver was funded by TechStars in the summer of 2008. We've raised a Series A round led by O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures that included a group of stellar, Boulder-based angels.

About This Job

We are looking to add another developer to our team. We're based in Boulder, CO but are comfortable working with a distributed team. This is a full-time position.

This job will require you to solve new and interesting problems on a daily basis. You'll help us do everything from fixing bugs to building features to refining our architecture.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • is excited about getting in on the ground floor of a quickly-growing startup. You'll have significant influence over architecture, features, and our road map - so expect to work hard.
  • works well in the hectic pace of startup life. New challenges will arrive every day. You'll need to be ready to learn quickly and pitch in where you can.
  • is prepared to put in the effort required to stay synchronized and work productively with a distributed team.
  • is an expert in Ruby (at least one year of experience). Prior contributions to open-source projects is a big plus.
  • can iterate quickly. We release early and often.
  • is test-focused. We write lots of unit tests and expect you to do the same.
  • while not strictly necessary, experience building massively distributed systems that scale is a bonus
